This is my little blog about all sorts of digital music stuff. Mostly, the process of buying, ripping, encoding and streaming music around the house. And a bunch of rants in between the occasionally helpful tips and tricks.
About The Title
1411kbps is the bitrate of an audio CD or lossless WAV file. It's my bitrate of choice. Most digital music these days is sold and consumed at lower-quality compressed bitrates of between 192 and 320 kbps. I'm old-fashioned. I favour quality over convenience. I figured the slightly mediaeval-sounding "1411" was appropriate.
